At Arbor Division we look after the needs of our domestic clients undertaking operations to trees in gardens as well as servicing large contracts.
It is our long term aim to maintain and grow our domestic client base. After all, from small beginnings we have made the natural progression to becoming an approved and accredited contractor and will never forget our roots (pardon the pun).

Bring light into your property...
Consider the arc of the sun, where it shines in relation to your property and which trees to operate on. For example, are there other trees blocking light behind the ones you wish to have pruned?
- Crown thinning
Crown thinning is the sensible solution to improve light gains. This involves removing from the crown first the poor limbs and defects. Then address the concentrated areas reducing the density of the crown and allowing light to filter through.
- Crown reduction
Another solution would be a delicate crown reduction. Reducing the crown spread and height will allow the sun to access areas previously shaded by the extremities, and is most often the better option.

Large, dangerous and overhanging…

A crown reduction and/or crown thinning may be recommended to reduce the sail and size of the tree and improve its stability, or felling by way of sectional dismantle may be required if the tree is condemned.
We have specialist equipment and our climbers are experienced in the sectional dismantle of large trees in confined spaces so you can be assured we will facilitate your every need and find a work around to avoid damage to property.

Need stumps out?
Stumps of any size can be ground out using specialist machinary and fully qualified operator. A strategy can be devised where access is limited.

- Crown raise/lift
Raising the crown increases light levels to the lower regions of the canopy and can improve light levels to windows, pathways and alleyways. Wooded areas of the garden and avenues alongside driveways can be opened up and be made to feel less claustrophobic.
