Tree Health Inspections
Most surveys and reports regardless of the requirements consider the health and safety of the subject tree(s).
Arbor Division consultants will assess the health of trees using factors such as body language, pockets of decay, fungal brackets and other visible defects present and will produce a report of the results found. Usually a judgment is made on the safety of the tree based on the above.
When a cavity is enclosed, internal decay detection like a Picus tomography machine may be used to provide a description of the extent of internal decay. A report with full recommendations will be prepared based on the results of the inspection.
Mortgage and/or insurance company requires an arboricultural survey and report...
Our consultancy service conducts surveys for building societies, estate agents and mortgage/insurance brokers to gauge the health and safety of trees on any given property. These documents will give the mortgage broker or insurer data and information so they can make a decision as to the associated risks of lending or securing money against a property in close proximity to a surveyed tree.
Accusation of subsidence
Reports are bespoke to clients requirements. Should there be a suspicion of subsidence we will inspect, if instructed, factors surrounding the soil and roots, taking samples for analysis and provide recommendations for action.
If the presence of a tree appears to be having an adverse affect on a structure (cracks in brick work for example) we will notify the client and advise that a structural survey be obtained from an engineer and that conduct a subsidence risk assessment.
Protected trees
Tree work recommended by the report may require permission to be granted from the local authority first. The application/notification forms which the local authority require can be difficult to complete. Our company has vast experience with these documents and will submit an application for approval to work on protected trees at our clients request. This would include any necessary meetings with the Tree Officer to discuss proposals.
